There are Automated Postal Centers, but spokesman Tom Gaynor said late APC postmarks are not valid for tax returns. But they are all right “if you use them before the post office closes on April 15.”
The main Detroit post office on Fort Street and the Redford post office on Beech Daly Road are open until midnight.
